Findhorn

Findhorn is a quiet peaceful village in Moray between forres and kinloss. It boasts a lovely sandy beach with views across to Culbin sand and is popular for wildlife and a variety of water sports.

Captain’s table is situated right on the beach and next to the boatyard, serving a variety of meals and snacks throughout the day.

If you enjoy water sports then Findhorn Marina is the place to head for. Offering a variety of boating, sailing and wildlife adventures, there is something for everyone. Adventures depart daily from findhorn marina, weather permitting. 

There are two pubs nearby the Kimberley inn and the crown and anchor both serving meals. The bakehouse is nearby and is popular for meals also. there is also a village store with a small post office where you can stock up on essentials 

On the outskirts of the village is the world famous Findhorn Foundation a holistic community and Eco village. Visitors are welcome and there are also tours available. The Universal hall is home to a variety of events and performances throughout the year. Don’t forget to visit the Blue Angel Cafe offering a variety of mouth watering snacks and beverages. Open all year round with seating inside and out. The Phoenix store is located close to the entrance of the park. The store offers a good range of Fairtrade, local and Organic goods.

Moray Art Centre is located within the park and has a range of programmes and art exhibitions.

Why not visit the heritage centre and Ice house which is run by volunteers who will share with you the story of the rich history and natural heritage of Findhorn. Admission is free but donations are appreciated and there is a disabled access.
